Larysa DiDio parlayed a successful personal training business in New York City into an entrepreneur's dream, her own cutting-edge gym, serving much of the same clientele--where they live in the Westchester suburbs, as opposed to where they work, in Manhattan.
Over the years, Larysa has trained a wide variety of clients- rainging from "average Joes (and joans)" to millionaires and celebrities from kids to seniors. Her programs work because they are easily adapted to the way people really live.
Larysa's own personal domain has included a local daily TV program and quotes in national fitness and women's magazines such as InStyle, First for Women and Your Health Now. Her "Get Fit for Prom" program, which launched in 2006 included such naitonal sponsors as Canyon Ranch for Teens, Lara Bar, Operation Fairy Dust and Elle Magazine.
In addition to her other endeavors, Larysa works with her husband, Steve, a certified Athletic Trainer, running the PFX gym and training her Park Avenue clients there and in their homes. She also runs a remote (e-mail and phone) exercise and nutritional counseling business, with clients across the country.
Larysa's other accomplishments include graduating from Hunter College with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Chemistry: modeling athletic wear: and making the finals of the EXPN "Miss Fintess" contest in 1999 (she couldn't go to the finals because she was 6 weeks prgnant at the time.) She has also starred in a Creative Aerobics video (teaching professionlas how to teach), appeared in two workout vidoes produced by Redbook and done voice-over work. In addition, she and her husband have designed in-home gyms for co-ops and private clients.
Larysa and Steve have two children, Nicholas, 6, and Isabella, 3.
I love running (preferably in the snow), making jewelry, pretending I can knit, watching old mob movies and reading anything by Wayne Dyer.
